RUSSIANS REVALUE

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) MOSCOW, July 2.

The Soviet Union has increased by slightly more than 5 per cent the value of the rouble against the pound sterling, accordingto exchange rates announced tonight in the newspaper, “Izvestia.” The pound was officially worth two roubles 15 kopeks when “Izvestia” last gave exchange rates, on June 1. Now the rate is 2.03 roubles.

The United States dollar has also fallen in value—from 82 roubles 30 kopeks per 100 to 82 roubles-—as has the French franc.

The Japanese yen, the Canadian dollar, and the Swiss franc all show slight rises.
