Plans are approved
Work on the erection ot the Christchurch Working Men’s Club new $935,000 building should begin next February. Plans for the building were approved at a special general meeting of the club members this week. The chairman of the rebuilding committee (Mr N. The club owns the building and land, and the board will vacate it. New rooms for the club will even-* tually cover most of the total half-acre site.
The first stage of the new building will comprise thite storeys containing lounge bars, squash courts, a rifle range, library, reading rooji| billiard room with five tables, table tennis, quoits, and indoor bowls facilities, and a golf driving range. A tower office block will be added later.
