Prize money given away

(N.Z. Press Associationf AUCKLAND.* W. A. Stevenson, skipper of Mystic Miss, which won the Atlantic lOOmile powerboat race on Saturday, has given the $l5O prize money to the Coast Guard. He has also handed ovet the victor’s trophy to R. We>-ton-Webb, skipper of Clipper Commander, who was disqualified after being first across the finish line. Stevenson said he felt that the Coast Guard deserved the money for the excellent job done on Saturday in rescuing boats in distress. Radio operators had an average of one call every minute for seven hours. “As for the trophy winner of the speed section, I fael that we are not really entitled to it,” Stevenson said.
