Stowaway frozen

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) NEW YORK, April 14. A young United States Marine was found frozen to death in the wheel well of an American Airlines Boeing 707 at Kennedy airport, New York yesterday. Authorities said that John Gribowskas, aged 19, of Warren, Michigan, apparently strapped himself into the jet before it took off from San Diego, en route to New York by way of Los Angeles. Gribowskas, who was reported absent without leave from the Marines, was dressed in fatigue pants, combat boots and a sweat shirt. Police said that the jet flew at 37,000 feet during the fourhour flight from Los Angeles to New York. At that altitude, the temperature could fall to minus 8 degrees Fahrenheit.
