High heels for men

Men are following in women’s footsteps. High heels, bright colours, and flashes on toe caps were part of the men's scene at this week’s international shoe show by the British Footwear Manufacturers’ Federation, reports the Press Association.
Contrast platforms gave maximum colour interest to the masculine sole, while contrast colour-flashes on toe caps of bright blue calf on bright red suede put men in the shoe fashion class which women’s shoes reached five years ago, a federation spokesman said. Women’s casual shoes with two-colour, 4in wedge heels, for wear with trousers, were part of the autumn walk-tall story. With rockers’ wedg<
jnr jes, thick high-stacked heels, and ankle boots for autumn, the women’s shoe fashion story was traced in browns, rusts, burgundies, plus black with red and navy. Evening slippers and platforms gleamed with bands of lush velvets and brocades.
“We are seeing revolution in women’s styles,” the spokesman said.
