Ceylonese recognition
Ceylon has accorded Bangladesh full recognition, the Ceylonese Prime Minister (Mrs Bandaranaike) has announced in a message to Sheikh Mujib. Mrs Bandaranaike’s Government has been strongly criticised for its delay in recognising Bangladesh; the Moscow-orientated Communist Party, a part of her United Front Government, has been particularly sharp in its attacks. — Colombo, March 6.
