Games appeal
An anonymous gift of $5OO is among the latest contributions to the Commonwealth Games Appeal acknowledged by the appeal committee. Gifts and promises of money for the appeal by February 18 totalled $503,036. Recent gifts of under $5OO from the Canterbury area have come from: W. Clough (swim), $118.40: C. A. Moore and Company, Ltd, $5O; New Zealand Institute of Surveyors (Canterbury branch), $25; Staff, Scott Bros Department B, $l5; H. G. Hartnell, $10; N. W. G. Moffatt, $10; -J. W. Jameson, $2.
