Canterbury enters 20 in marathon
A record 20 runners have been named by the selectors (Messrs D. W. Mackenzie, V. Briedis and W. Jowett) to represent Canterbury in the New Zealand marathon championship at Dunedin on March 11. They will be headed by the title-holder champion, D. C. Mackenzie (Greymouth), who will be bidding to qualify for the Munich Olympic Games by running the 26 miles 385 yards in less than the qualifying time of 2hr 16min. Of the 20 athletes, only
