Linton Cup dates
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association last night decided to allocate Australian junior interstate Linton and Wilson Cup competitions to th- Canterbury association, and hai. set January 8-14 as tentative dates. They will be held in New Zealand for the first time. New Zealand had earlier proposed to host the competition,, and the L.T.A.A. accepted the offer in January. New Zealand hai eent teems each year to the competition. This will be the first time the competition has ever been held outside Australia. In addition to tho Linton end Wilson Cups, an Australsian junior championship Involving all the Australian state players and the leading New Ze Hand juniors is planned, but a vsnue has yet to be decided.
