The menu for last night’s banquet given by the Chinese Prime Minister (Mr Chou En-lai) for President and Mrs ■ Nixon, reported by United Press International, was: Spongy bamboo shoots, egg white consomme, sharks fin in three shreds, fried and stewed shrimp, boiled eggs (preserved for several months i until they turn black), egg- 1 rolls, hams, sausages, steamed chicken with coconut, Peking duck, almond junkets, steamed pastries and fruits.
