30 YEARS IN BRIGADE
Station Officer S. T. Besley, of the New Brighton Volunteer Fire Brigade, will retire tomorrow after serving more than 30 years with the brigade. He joined on September 9, 1941. Mr Besley has a bakery business and works at night. The Christchurch Metropolitan Fire Board yesterday decided to make M, Besley a $5O grant and to write him a letter of appreciation on his service.
