Gear still missing

The Christchurch police would like to hear from any person, especially farmers or shearers, who may be able to assist in inquiries to find $5OOO worth of shearing gear stolen in January. The gear was taken from MacEwans Machinery, Ltd, 50-54 Tuam Street. It is believed to have been stolen between January 21 and 24, although the theft was not discovered until early in February. A rear door had been forced. The missing gear includes 20 handpieces, about 11 gross of cutters and five to six gross of combs. Almost all the equipment was Lister brand.
