Velocette in good gallop
"The Frets" Special Service WANGANUL Velocette. which looks much improved with his first-day outing, worked most impressively at wangnaui yesterday. He is listed for the sth Battalion Haek Handicap at the Wanganui Jockey Club’s meeting on Saturday. On the firm No. 1 grass, with the pegs out 15ft, Velocette wound up two rounds with a solid six furlongs in Imin 18 4-ssec, the last three taking 39}sec. With Saturday's Grand International Hack Handicap third behind him, Velocette appeals as an early winner.
