China
Sir, —“P.J.A.” seems upset because some of the studients who visited China are going to Taiwan to see how its inhabitants are treated under a democratic government. Probably much better than “P.J.A.” would have us believe. Taiwan had a very good record while a member of the United Nations and some of the world statesmen were sorry that it was not allowed to remain a member when mainland China was admitted. If China is the show place of the world, surely “P.J.A.” should be pleased for the visitors to see the contrast in the welfare of the two places.—Yours, etc., LET THEM SEE. December 29, 1971.
