School for life-saving
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The first South Pacific , school for life-saving started , at Muriwai Beach yesterday with 27 people from the United States, Taiwan, Eng- ' land, Australia, and New Zealand. , The school will continue . until New Year’s Eve. Dele- i gates will exchange ideas to ' try to find the best life-saving techniques. Methods differ ' in different countries. Yesterday afternoon the use of helicopters in rescues was demonstrated.
