(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright/ BRISBANE. Soaking rain forced the abandonment of play yesterday on the third day of the Sheffield Shield match between Western Australia and Queensland. Heavy showers with occasional heavy downpours were forecast by the Brisbane Weather Bureau for the final day of the match today. Western Australia is poised for an outright win. Queensland (103 and 184/5) in its second innings is leading Western Australia (278) by nine runs on the first innings with five wickets in hand.
