Hotel gaurantees
Sir, —The Minister of Tourism (Mr Walker) is reported as saying, “any support given to North Island projects has been because their applications have been submitted complete in every detail and measuring up to every requirement.” The proprietor of the Market and Federal Hotels (Mr Mangos), has given us to understand that his prepared case for a new hotel was complete in every detail. There is some strong feeling in Christchurch about what appears on the surface to be cavalier treatment of Mr Mangos by the Minister. To reassure Christ-; church citizens of the fairness of his decision, will the 1 Minister state precisely on which points Mr Mangos's 1 petition was found deficient? < —Yours, etc., 1 CONCERNED.
