Kiwi match possible

There is a possibility that the victorious New Zealand Rugby league team will meet a southern zone or selected XIII at Christchurch next season. Members of the Canterbury board of control last evening agreed unanimously to inform their delegate to the New Zealand council (Mr T. J. Wellsmore) of their interest in staging such a fixture. At a recent meeting of the N.ZJLL. Mr C. R. Mountford suggested that the Kiwis—fresh from their series triumphs in Britain and France—might be reunited for games at Wellington and Christchurch after the brief visit to this country by Queensland next June. Should the N.Z.R.L. agree to this proposal, it would provide the Kiwis with match practice before their short tour .of Australia and subsequent trip to France for the World Cup tournament.
