Visual aids contest

Mrs H. Moore, a teacher at the Aranui Primary School, has won the junior section (infants to Standard 2) of the Teachers* Visual Aids. Competition, which was sponsored by Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd, and promoted by C.0.R.5.0. and the New Zealand Educational Institute. A cheque for $75, the first prize in the junior section, will be presented by the manager of Whitcombe and Tombs at the primary school break-up to be held in the Aranui High School hall on December 14. The object of the competition was to design and prepare a visual aid in the area of the social studies curriculum, relating to the topic of international understanding.
