Wool gains at Auckland
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 1. Prices for fleece were in sellers’ favour, and second-shear wools were 2} per cent dearer compared with Monday’s prices, at the second day of the Auckland sale today.
Competition was steady, and at times keen, said the official report. The offering today was 15,495 bales of new season’s wool and 5197 bales of second-shear from the Wool Commission’s stocks. Western and Eastern Europe were again the principal buyers with support from the United States on carpet wools. Range of prices SHORN HOGGET
