FACTORY TO COST $16.7m

(N.Z. Press Association) . WELLINGTON, Nov. 30. An industrial complex costing $16.7m is to be built for Todd Motors, Ltd, at Porirua. The first stage, which will involve a plant of more than half a million square feet, a cafeteria, and a large administration block, is expected to be in use within three years. Staff will be increased, and eventually will number more than 2000. The new factory, to be built on a site covering 73 acres, will have an eventual output of 29,000 cars and trucks a year.

The site will be landscaped, and planted in trees, lawns and flower beds.
