Steadier tone in more active trading

Trading was a little more active on New, Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, with rises and falls about in balance. However, the index lost almost a point, and fell to 266.48. The overseas list was firm, and reflected the better tone of recent Australian trading.

1.C.1.N.Z. had one of the best gains when the shares sold at 190 c, a rise of sc. Feltex continued its firm trend, and added another 2c in sales at’ 372 c. The improvement among RISES New Zealand
