Murray Grey purchase
Australian - bred Murray Grey cattle worth $25,500 has been bought for the North Island. The consignment consists of six females and one stud bull. This has been announced by the stud stock department of Dalgety New Zealand, Ltd.
Among the cattle are a cow with a calf at foot valued at $7000; two in-calf heifers and one unmated heifer at $10,250; two unmated heifers at $5750; and one yearling stud bull at $2500. Mr D. Marshall, stud stock manager for Dalgety’s at Albury, in New South Wales, reports that three recent Murray Grey sales grossed in excess of $473,000.
