Four holiday cottages on a site of 3| acres at Duvauchelle were sold privately after being passed in at auction on Saturday for $5OOO. The auction was attended by about 25 persons. Bidding began at $4OOO, two bids of $5OO following. The Government valuation of the property is $4300. The auctioneer was Mr F. McD. Templeton, for Pyne, Gould, Guinness Ltd, of Christchurch, and Bullock and Company, Ltd, of Ashburton.
