Fairlie out of Open
(N.Z. Press Association)
AUCKLAND, Nov. 26.
B. E. Fairlie, who returned this month from the professional tennis circuit overseas, has withdrawn from the Benson and Hedges open tournament at Auckland from December 6 to 12.
A knee injury which he suffered in Stockholm is the main reason for his withdrawal.
A_ Neely, an American, will take Fairlie's place in the singles, and a new mrtner will be found for O. ’arun in the doubles.
