FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A complex trough of low pressure extends from the south of New Zealand to the central Tasman Sea and is moving east. Forecast:
Canterbury and the Kaikoura Coast.— South-westerlies becoming fresh during the day; changeable and cold; showers. Marlborough.—North-westerlies decreasing and fresh southerly winds developing late tomorrow; fair at first but cloudy later and rain developing in the afternoon; becoming cooler. Nelson.—Moderate variable winds; mainly cloudy; rain at times, mainly later in the day; moderate temperatures. Buller and Westland.—Moderate variable winds and variable skies; a few showers; moderate day temperatures. Outlook.—Mainly fine on the West Coast and Nelson; showers elsewhere. CHRISTCHURCH READINGS
