Oil spillage committee

A Christchurch committee to combat oil spillage was formed yesterday at a meeting of representatives of five oil companies, the Christchurch City Council, the Christchurch Drainage Board and the Christchurch Metropolitan Fire Board. Mr W. J. Leary, chairman of a national oil spills committee, was also present. The new committee will hold its first meeting in January.
