Scholarship for drivers
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON. A Hamilton-based racing drivers’ school is offering a $5OO scholarship for prospective racing drivers throughout New Zealand. Radio Waikato is sponsoring the scholarship, and the winner will receive a full training course with the school in single-seater racing cars and later an entry in a national championship race. Basketball.—Australia’s 10 man national basketball team will play a three game series in Manila In January. It will play against a Filipino team, which will be training for the Munich Olympics.
