Games appeal $469,778
Contributions to the Commonwealth Games appeal now total $469,778. This includes promises and cash, worth $104,442; of sums under $5OO from areas outside Canterbury, $41,566 in sums under $5OO from Canterbury, and $323,769 in sums of more than $5OO from throughout New Zealand. In the latest contributions, the Wellington City Council has given $5OOO and Tappenden Industries, Ltd, $5lO.
