Head of Post Office retires

(N.Z. Press Association) | WELLINGTON, October 13. Tributes were paid to the retiring Director-General of the Post Office (Mr G. Searle) in Parliament last night.

During discussion of the Post Office Estimates, the Postmaster-General (Mr McCready) broke the debate to pay a tribute to Mr Searle’s work. Mr W. A. Fraser (Lab., St Kilda), also spoke of Mr Searle’s contribution to telecommunications and expressed good wishes to him in his retirement.
