Parliament’s diary
The annual reports of the Niue and Tokelau Islands and of the Licensing Control Commission were tabled when Parliament resumed yesterday morning.
An .exchange of notices of motion, in which the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition participated, occurred over Mr Kirk’s policy speech in Auckland. Ministers answered 21 questions. The Magistrates’ Courts’ Amendment Bill and the Fisheries Amendment Bill were each read a second time. The Hire Purchase Bill completed its committal debate.
The House rose shortly before 4 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
