Colts hockeychampion

(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. Canterbury is once again the New Zealand colts hockey champion. It beat Otago 6- in a loose game in the final at Turnbull Thomson Park yesterday. Canterbury was on attack for most of the first half, scoring four of its six goals, but the second half was fairly scrappy with many mistakes. Scorers for Canterbury were: C. Maister (3), T.. Cycle, A. Ineson, and D. Small. G. Newbum scored Otago’s goal. Otago was second, followed by Auckland, Wellington, Taranaki, Eastern Districts, Wairarapa, Nelson, Southern Districts North, Manawatu and Southland. The afternoon game saw New Zealand Colts, led by G. Chester, of Auckland, trounce the Southland senior team, 7- C. Maister (3), and A. Ineson were among •• the scorers.
