(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SNETTERTON (England).

The New Zealand driver, G. Mcßae, won the second part of the Formula 5000 championship race to complete a high-speed double at the Snetterton- circuit in Norfolk, winning at an average speed of 115.23 miles per hour.

Mcßae, driving a McLaren Morand Chevrolet, fought his way through from fourth place at the end of the first lap in an exciting race, and moved into the lead in the third.

He was followed by the British drivers, E. Pilette (also in a McLaren Morand Chevrolet), and M. Walker (Lola Smith Chevrolet). Mcßae gradually pulled away, but in the eleventh of the 12 laps, he was held up passing a back-marker, and only just held on to take the flag.
