Unexpected entrance
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) SUVA, Aug. 30. The Australian High Commissioner in Fiji (Mr Rowen Osborn) made his entrance right on cue during a speech by a former trade union leader and Australian National University graduate, Mr James Anthony, at the University of the South Pacific.
Mr Anthony, wanning up for an attack on Australia's immigration policy, told the students that he had invited Mr Osborn to listen to his speech at the university, but, he said, he did not think Mr Osborn had accepted the invitation, although he thought one of Mr Osbom’s representatives might be present Just then a voice from outside a window broke in: “No he isn’t—but I am, and I can’t find the door.” Mr Osborn then climbed in through the window and took his seat in the hall—to applause from the students.
