Long shot

The Western Australian city of Perth has been asked to turn on all its lights on August 7, so that it can be photographed from the moon. A National Aeronautics and Space Administration scientist, Dr Thornton Page, says that a special camera placed on the moon by the Apollo 15 astronauts will try to photograph the lights during an eclipse of the sun.—Perth, July 22.
