Big-hitting innings

Sobers, hit a sparkling 78, including 10 fours and two sixes, when Nottinghamshire made 339 against the English county cricket championship leader, Middlesex, yesterday. Finally, Sobers was run out when he looked set to score a century. Another West Indian test batsman, R. Fredericks, contributed a valuable 70 for Glamorgan against Hampshire.
