Spring under road
A spring has formed under the road to Port Levy and the road has been closed to heavy traffic. The Automobile Association (Canterbury) advised yesterday that the spring was at the foot of the hill on the Little River side. No assessment had been made of when the road was likely to be opened.
The road is negotiable to vehicles other than heavy traffic, but motorists are advised to take care.
