Police hunt for knife

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 19. The Auckland police are still making inquiries into the brawl at Avondale on Sunday in which three Rugby players suffered knife wounds. A team of policemen searched the Avondale Racecourse grounds today in an unsuccessful search for a pocket knife allegedly used in the melee, which involved players and spectators. No charges had been laid! by tonight, and the police said their inquiries might take several days to complete.
