(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 19. The Associate Minister of Finance (Mr Pickering) will be Acting Minister of Customs while the Minister of Customs (Mr Adams-Schneid-er) is away as a result of his car accident on Saturday. Mr Pickering will also be acting Minister of Industries and Commerce, a position Mr Adams-Schneider had been filling while Mr Shelton is overseas.
The medical superintendent at Waikato Hospital, Dr W. St Clair, said today that Mr Adams-Schneider would probably be released on Wednesday.
