Mr R. L. Hewett, formerly of Christchurch, who has been appointed mine manager of Mount Isa Mines, Ltd, in Qpeenshmd. Mr Hewett graduated BJSe in geology at Canterbury University in 1957 and joined the Mount Isa Company as a geologist in the same year. Ten years later he was appointed chief mine geologist and in February of this year was made assistant mine manager (production)..
