Sale delay urged

(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, July 15. A recommendation that sections on the property of Bumside High School should not be sold until the school had reached its maximum development was made today by the Petitions Commttee. The Petitions Committee was returning to Parliament a petition signed by Wilfred A. Lightfoot and 40 others. The recommendation of the committee, that "consideration” be given, was not a high one, but the rider will have the effect of emphasising the position to the authorities. Mr W. A. Lightfoot said this evening that the committee’s decision was very encouraging. “It is to be hoped that we get more support locally: it behoves the civic authorities to get behind this and give a good boost along,” he said.
