The average l|fe-span of aborigines bn Taiwan is about 10 years shorter than that of the other people there, according to an official report published in Taipei. It says the latest statistics show that the average life-span in 1969 for men in the mountain tribes ■ was 55.84 years, and for women, 60.69; whereas that of the lowland people was 65.12 years for men and 70.77 for women.
