Rajah Sahib to

miss sprint (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) BRISBANE. The New Zealand-bred Stradbroke Handicap winner, Rajah Sahib, will not run in the Doomben Ten Thousand (7 furlongs less 68 yards) on Saturday week. ■ His owner, Mr W. Stanley, said on Monday that Rajah Sahib would miss the race to concentrate on the 11 furlongs Doomben Cup the week after.

Mr Stanley said that he and Rajah Sahib’s trainer, T. Hughes, had decided not to set Rajah Sahib the task of chasing the speedsters round the Doomben short seven. Mt Stanley said: "The Ten Thousand boils down to a two-horse race Baguette and Dual Choice.”
