U.K. beef dearer
The price of beef in British shops has gone up by the equivalent of 29 cents per lb in the last year, mainly because of a reduction in imports from Australia and the Argentine. The Meat and Livestock Commission says it holds little hope of a decline in beef prices this year.—London, June 18.
