Laver’s big earnings

The Australian tennis player, R. Laver will arrive at Wimbledon next week with his earnings for 1971 already nudging $199,000 with six months still to go. Add to that the $177,969 he won in prize-money last year, and it is easy to see why the “Queensland Rocket” is rated among the highest money winners in sport
At the present, at least he is putting the likes of the American golf maestro, A. Palmer, in the lowerincome bracket
