Audiovisual award
An award of $lOO for the best contribution to audiovisual education, either by use of equipment or by the publication of an article or articles, is to be offered again this year.
The award, given by Philips Electrical Industries, Ltd, is open to teachers and those working with them in a noncommercial capacity. The selection committee consists of representatives
from the Department of Education, the New Zealand Educational Institute, the Post-Primary Teachers’ Association, and Philips Electrical Industries. For the 1970 award the selection committee gave particular emphasis to pupil involvement and participation, pioneering qualities, technical competence, influence on others, and over-all competence.
Entries for the 1971 award will close at the end of August
