S.I. INDOOR BOWLS
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. After two days play, which reduced the 635 teams entered to 32, two Otago pairs and two from Canterbury have reached the semi-finals of the South Island Indoor Bowls championships, at Invercargill. There were no unexpected results in the early rounds of post-section play. Results of Canterbury players’ games were:—
Pairs.—Rounds one: Miss F. Lamb (South Otago) beat D. Higham (Canterbury), 10-4; G. Lennon (C.) beat W. Greenbank (Southland). 9-7; B. Stewart (C.) beat N. Lee (S.) r 13-4; J. Kelly (C.) beat L. McLennan (C.k 12-6; K. Darling (O.) beat V. Taylor (C.), 13-14; J. A. Agnew (S.) beat A. fc. Williamson (C.), 10-5; M. K. Brears (C.) beat Mrs A. Clements (South Canterbury), 14-2.
