Woman dies in collision
(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, May 30. An 83-year-old woman was killed in a two-car collision in Palmerston North yesterday afternoon when she was returning from visiting her husband in hospital. The woman was Alice Rose Edwards, of Pahiatua. She was a passenger in a utility vehicle driven by Mr C. H. Hindmarsh, also of Pahiatua. The utility was involved in a collision with a truck at the intersection of College and Cook Streets at 4.25 p.m. Both vehicles tipped over and a third parked vehicle was also struck. Mr Hindmarsh and the driver of the truck, Mr J. R. Hill, of Palmerston, suffered minor injuries.
