Bones found
Whangarei police are investigating the discovery of human bones in Mair Park. At least two skulls are among the bones which are in a small crevice in a bank. It is believed to be the site of a Maori burial. Local Maori leaders have been notified and will guard against possible desecration should the bones prove to be the remains of Maoris.—(P.A.)
