Motor-cycle trip ends

Six Christchurch men reached Collingwood on Wednesday afternoon after travelling the Heaphy track by motor-cycle. The party, Mr E. Nichols, his two sons Messrs J. and C. Nichols, Messrs R. Couch, S. Witte and W. Pettigrew, had little fuel or food left when they reached the end of the 50-mile journey.

Mrs Nichols said last evening that her husband had telephoned her on arrival at Collingwood and said that the motor-cycles were in very good condition after the difficult trip over beaches, rocky areas and river crossings.
